Team BanDeMar wins Best of
Show at 5th Annual NJIT Capstone Showcase
The New Jersey Institute of Technology Capstone
Program supports the advanced technology
development of tri-state companies,
universities, and government agencies.
Competing against thirty such technologies, the
Best of Show at the 5th annual Capstone Showcase
was awarded to "Team BanDeMar" (from left to
right: project manager Wole “Wally” Isijola,
system analyst Randy Hesse, software developer
Kevin Quinn, company president Dr. Cesar
Bandera) for development of the Global
Microscope's Picture-in-Picture video capability.

NJIT Capstone Program selects
ManDeMar as Sponsor
The Capstone Project Course at the New Jersey
Institute of Technology (NJIT) is an educational
experience facilitated by the College of Computing
Sciences at NJIT which aims at offering a
rewarding real world learning experience for
students as well as a cost-effective assistance to
our Sponsors. Capstone has assigned two
software engineers and one project manager to
support BanDeMar's research and development
efforts.

BanDeMar selected for European
Just-in-Time cellular training system
Under contract by the Spanish Ministry of
Industry, BanDeMar will be conducting field
tests of its wireless training system for first
responders at the Parque Tecnológico de Andalucía
in Spain with Vodafone, the University of Malaga,
and the University of San Juan.

BanDeMar to add Virtual
Reality to Electronic Field Trips
Liberty Science Center's Electronic Field Trips
program videoconferences live and engaging science
experiments to more than 100,000 students each
year. In 2006, the LSC will provide over 600
Electronic Field Trips in 25 topics.
BanDeMar will be augmenting this experience with
web-accessible virtual instrumentation allowing
students to remotely control different components
of the live experiment.

BanDeMar teams with UCLA to
automate EEG signal monitoring
In collaboration with the Seizure Disorder Center
at UCLA, BanDeMar is using modern statistical
machine learning techniques to implement in
real-time software the hierarchical approach to
visual EEG classification described in the
recently published reference book “Atlas of EEG
Patterns” by Dr. John M. Stern. The software
will facilitate the process by which clinicians
attain the information they need from a continuous
EEG to consider differential diagnoses.

BanDeMar opens
new lab facility in the New Jersey Institute of
Technology
BanDeMar has opened a new location in the top
floor of the Enterprise Development Center in the
heart of the NJIT campus. This new facility,
located in the heart of the biotech corridor, will
be used for system integration projects and
includes wet lab space for biotechnology clients.
