BanDeMar presents field trial results of its mobile just-in-time multimedia training system at the 2007 I/ITSEC.

The Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) promotes cooperation among the Armed Services, Industry, and Academia in pursuit of improved training and education programs, identification of common training issues, and development of multi-service programs. Attended by over 15,000 participants from 50 countries, the 2007 conference emphasized the need for just-in-time training (JITT) of personnel in time-critical scenarios. BanDeMar Networks presented the only fielded JITT system at the conference, developed for the Worker Education and Training Program of the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences The presentation was so well received that the University of Central Florida granted continuing education credits to those who attended.

News 12 New Jersey features Global Microscope in biomedical visualization.

The New Jersey Institute of Technology Capstone Program and High school Connections Program provides undergraduate college and local high school students, respectively, with internships at tri-state companies, universities, and government agencies.   High School student Phillip Grayeski led a team with HS student Tom Rodgers and NJIT students Gregory Jean, Parul Patel, and Jonathan Kahn to develop life sciences curriculum for the Global Microscope.
News 12 New Jersey anchorman Bryan Jenkins interviewed Phillip
at the Edison studios for the "12 in Our Schools" show.  During the
interview, Philip used a smaller portable Global Microscope to display
his content.

NJ Biz selects BanDeMar CEO for its 2007 issue of Entrepreneur 101

In 2006, publisher NJ Biz issued its first Entrepreneur 101 publication featuring the success stories of the top 26 entrepreneurs in New Jersey selected from hundreds of nominations. For this year's Entrepreneur 101 publication, NJ Biz has selected BanDeMar CEO Dr. Cesar Bandera.  The publication features BanDeMar's just-in-time mobile training, the Global Microscope, and proposal development services.

Global Microscope unveiled at Liberty Science Center

BanDeMar completed the installation of the first Global Microscope at the Jennifer A. Chalsty Center for Science Learning and Teaching at Liberty Science Center.  Every hour, staff give instructional seminars to visitors on Earth science topics using the giant sphere using NASA data.  BanDeMar networks continues to develop new educational content for the Global Microscope to expand the curriculum at the Liberty Science Center.

Mobile just-in-time multimedia training field tests conclude successfully

BanDeMar, the Atlantic OSHA Training Center, and the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) completed field trials of a cell phone multimedia training system for emergency responders and skilled support personnel called the Just-In-Time Training for Emergency Incidents System (JITTEIS).  JITTEIS went live at the 2007 National Trainers Exchange of the NIEHS Worker Education and Training Program in support of the hazardous material worker community:

  • Asynchronous distribution of safety, health, and logistics multimedia to workers in the field on site-specific topics at the moment they need it.
  • Use existing cell phones and carriers (no new mobile devices or changes to phones).
  • 2-way multimedia communications such as real-time dissemination of photos and videos taken in the field of newly discovered hazards.
  • Collecting audiovisual records of site progress, and tracking training compliance.
